"Even, dark ruby-red colour with some youthful purple hues, lighter on the rim. This has a full and voluminous nose of richly ripe, primary, dark raspberry fruit aromas along with bright, lifted dark red and violet floral, unfolding a subtle layer of thyme herbs. The aromatics build gently to form well-packed core. Medium-full bodied, the palate is vibrant and rich with juicy flavours of ripe, dark raspberry fruit entwined with dark-red and black cherries, along with notes of dark herbs and spices, lifted by dark-red florals. The sweet fruit is underlined by supple, fine-grained tannins and the wine flows along a smooth line with integrated acidity, leading to a finely concentrated lingering finish. This is a vibrantly rich and succulent Pinot Noir with aromatic flavours of dark raspberries, herbs and spices on a smooth-flowing supple palate. Match with duck, pork, lamb and beef dishes over the next 6+ hears. Clones 777, 115, 667, 5 and Abel from Claim 431 vineyard, the fruit hand-picked and destemmed and fermented to 14.0%. The wine aged 12 months in 25% new French oak. 2,000 dozen made". 18.5/20 April 2017 Raymond Chan
